You don’t have to carry this all on your own.

I’m a Kingwood-based therapist who specializes in trauma, EMDR, depressive disorders, and adolescents.

please Hear me when I say:

Being here doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re strong.

I want you to know that regardless of what you have experienced or are struggling with currently, things will get better if you are willing to accept help. Despite our best efforts, sometimes life unexpectedly gets too challenging and difficult for us to navigate by ourselves. Additionally, unresolved experiences from our past can continue to make themselves known in the present, further complicating our lives. Whether you are trying to manage a recent traumatic experience or are struggling with anxiety or depressive disorders, I believe it is important to first identify the root cause of those symptoms and then begin to work on the healing process. I know that seeking help can be scary and I want to assure you that I am here to help you through this difficult time. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow, and I am committed to helping you find your way to a better life.

How I work

At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that you deserve to live a joyful and meaningful life.

I believe that we should not allow ourselves to be defined by the negative experiences and behaviors we unknowingly repeat. My approach includes exploring and learning from your past by first identifying unwanted issues/patterns that continue to show up in your life, working through them and then, learning to narrate a new story for you that honors your values and focuses on how you want to move forward. Additionally, I incorporate self-compassion as a way of healing ourselves by acknowledging that we are all vulnerable and worthwhile, this is particularly important to concentrate on during times when we are suffering or feel inadequate.

In sessions with me, together we will build a safe, trusting space that will allow for healing to occur.

Therapy with me is…

  • Every person is a culmination of all of the unique experiences and characteristices that make them who they are. With that in mind, all of our sessions will be tailored to meet the goals you have set for yourself.

  • I believe that authenticy is at the heart of building a therapeutic relationship. Authenticity not only consists of honesty but also includes an inherent element of acceptance and understanding for every person.

  • Trust is a central component of treatment. Without trust therapy is ineffective. I protect the confidentiality of my clients by ensuring they are not identifiable. Additionally, as a licensed professional I adhere to all federal, and state laws that ensure client confidentiality and that client information is securely maintained and HIPAA compliant.
